Are you a local Hamilton artisan maker looking for opportunities to sell your products? The Hamilton Farmers Market, a historic community gathering place offers opportunities for local artisans and craftspeople to offer their unique items for sale in a market setting through their Market Cart Program. The Market Cart Program offers qualifying vendors approximately 15 Square Feet (3’ x 5’) in surface area on a replica of a traditional European market cart (tables also available). Vendors are also permitted to bring vertical shelving to place in cart to hang items and to store items underneath. What type of vendors can apply? Local Artisans / Crafters / Producer Distributor of Local Art / Craft products Distributor of other Art / Craft products Local Food Artisan of Packaged Foods Distributor of Packaged Products How much does it cost? Wednesday: $20 + HST Thursday: $20 + HST Friday: $35 + HST Saturday: $50 + HST Note: Year-round dates available at Manager’s discretion. Rental fees are subject to change. Things to consider: There is no power or electrical outlet provided No cooking – If you are selling food, it must be produced in a commercial kitchen and documentation must be provided (municipal license) Market cart vendors may operate more than one cart at a time, subject to availability Vendors cannot sub-lease a cart All signage or floor space outside of the cart is subject to approval by the Market Office How do I apply? Interested vendors can pickup an application package at the Hamilton Farmers Market office located on the 1st floor or download the application package below. Applications can also be requested via email and submitted to alexandra.morgan@hamilton.ca . As part of the application review process, the Hamilton Farmers’ Market Manager may ask to visit studios of vendors to ensure the product is hand-produced locally and/or request receipts of original raw materials purchased for the production of artisan goods.
